Week in the life of a Wedding Planner

You guys ask me all the time what goes into my schedule between running a business & being a work from home mom to 2 toddlers. I'm also so passionate about time serving us instead of the other way around, so I thought it’d be fun to break down what my calendar looks like this week.

Monday:

6am Wake up, make coffee, check emails

7am Wake the kids up, breakfast, get ready for the day

9am Drop the girls off at daycare; work from my laptop:

  • Respond to emails

  • Write this blog post

  • Send new blog post email to email list

  • Client work

12pm Pick girls up from daycare

12:30pm Make lunch

1pm Nap time; mom tidy’s up house & starts laundry

2pm Client work

3:30pm Girls wake up from nap, snack

4pm Dinner prep for Kenny & girls, prep to leave

5:15pm Leave for client meeting/drive time

6:30pm Client planning meeting

8pm Drive home

9pm Catch up with Kenny

10pm Clean out inbox; prep tomorrow’s to do list

11pm Bed

Tuesday:

6am Wake up, make coffee, check emails

7am Wake the kids up, breakfast, get ready for the day

9am Drop the girls off at daycare; work from my laptop:

  • Respond to emails

  • Client budget catch up day

11:30am Pick girls up from daycare; stop at store on the way home

12:30pm Make lunch

1pm Nap time; mom tidy’s up house & starts laundry

1:30pm Intern interview

2pm Client Work

3:30pm Girls wake up from nap, snack

4pm Take Lily for haircut

5pm Dinner Prep

6pm Family Dinner

7pm Bath time/bedtime routine

8pm Hang with Kenny

9pm Mom time

10pm Clean out inbox; prep tomorrow’s to do list

11pm Bed

Wednesday:

6am Wake up, make coffee, check emails; put on out of office

7am Wake the kids up, breakfast, get ready for the day

9am Kenny take the girls to daycare; I leave for downtown work day

11am Post up at coffee shop for CEO work:

  • Social Media/Blogging/Email Plan for May

  • Accounting

  • Update preferred vendor list

  • Brain dump for online course

2:30pm Leave for Venue Tours with S&E

3pm Venue tour at Garfield Park Conservatory

4:30pm Venue tour at Galleria Marchetti

6pm Venue tour at Greenhouse Loft

7pm Stationery Consultation with S&N

8pm Drive home

9:30pm Hang with Kenny

10:30pm Mom time

11:30pm Bed

Thursday:

7am Sleep in - Wake up with the kids, breakfast, get ready for the day

9am Drop the girls off at daycare; work from my laptop:

  • Email catch up from Wednesday

12pm Pick girls up from daycare

12:30pm Make lunch

1pm Nap time; mom tidy’s up house & starts laundry

2pm Client Work

3:30pm Girls wake up from nap, snack

4pm Playtime!! Reconnect with girls after being gone all day Wednesday

5pm Dinner Prep

6pm Family Dinner

7pm Bath time & bed time routine

8pm Tidy up house

8:30pm Client call with S&E to defrag venue tours

9pm Mom time

10pm Clean out inbox; prep tomorrow’s to do list

11pm Bed

Friday:

6am Wake up, make coffee, check emails

7am Wake the kids up, breakfast, get ready for the day

9am Drop the girls off at daycare; work from my laptop:

  • Friday Emails - these are the task lists I send to my clients every week

12pm Pick girls up from daycare

12:30pm Make lunch

1pm Nap time; mom tidy’s up house & starts laundry

2pm Client work

3:30pm Girls wake up from nap, snack

4pm Take the girls clothes shopping for Spring & Summer

5:30pm Cook girl’s dinner

6pm Girl’ eat dinner

6:30pm Playtime!!

7pm Bedtime routine; Cook dinner for me & Kenny while girls watch TV

8pm Kenny & I have dinner together & hang

10pm Mom time

11pm Bed

Saturday:

6am Wake up & get ready

7:30am Leave for downtown

9am Floral sample with J&J

11am Cake tasting with J&J

12pm Lunch & rest

3:30pm Assist with another planner’s wedding

11pm Drive home

12:30am Bed

Sunday:

7:30am Wake up, get ready

9:30am Leave for Church

10am Church

12pm Lunch

1pm Nap time; Me & Kenny connect about next week’s schedules & review this week’s spending & next week’s budget

2pm Kenny leaves for work; Mom time

3:30pm Girls wake up from nap, snack

4pm Playtime!!

5pm Dinner Prep

6pm Dinner

7pm Bath time & bed time routine

8pm Tidy up house

9pm Mom Time

10pm Clean out inbox; prep tomorrow’s to do list

11pm Bed
